Wizex - When Colourful Lanterns Are Lit

The legendary Wizex are back! With ‘When Colourful Lanterns Are Lit’, one of Sweden’s most beloved dance bands is embarking on a new concert tour – filled with nostalgia, warmth and much-loved music.

Since their formation in Osby in 1972, Wizex have been an integral part of Swedish music history and, over the years, have been fronted by artists including Kikki Danielsson, Lena Pålsson, Charlotte Perrelli and Danne Stråhed.

Now, a musical journey spanning more than five decades awaits, featuring well-known classics such as “Mjölnarens Iréne”, “Miss Decibel”, “När en flicka talar skånska” and “Tusen och en natt”. It will be a heartfelt tribute to the folk park era – and an evening for both long-standing fans and new listeners alike.

Mari Winqvist takes to the microphone alongside bandleader Eric Iversen. Also on stage are original members Jerker “Gurkan” Nilsson and Tommy Karlsson, as well as Thomas Lindberg on guitar and vocals.
