Description

Two of the world's foremost jazz guitarists, Ulf Wakenius and Martin Taylor, have joined forces for an unforgettable live concert in Karlshamn. They bring with them a unique legacy in European jazz, built on many years of touring and recording with artists such as Oscar Peterson and Stéphane Grappelli.

Ulf Wakenius, one of Sweden's most famous names on the international jazz scene, worked with Oscar Peterson for ten years and took over the guitar role after Joe Pass, Herb Ellis and Barney Kessel.

Martin Taylor worked with Stéphane Grappelli for eleven years and filled the guitar spot after Django Reinhardt. In addition, Wakenius and Taylor have also collaborated with greats such as Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck, George Harrison, Michael Brecker, Jamie Cullum, Ray Brown and Michel Legrand, to name a few.

Between 18:00-19:00, in collaboration with Blekinge Guitar Club, there will be an opportunity to meet Ulf and Martin for a Q&A session. This is included in the ticket price.
There will also be exhibitions and other activities organised by the Blekinge Guitar Club in connection with the concert.
Refreshments will be sold between the Q&A session and the concert by students from the Waldorf School.
