Tjärö - A summer dream island

One of the most beautiful islands in the Blekinge archipelago.

Tjärö is a true idyllic archipelago island with an amazing nature, grazing animals, stone fence and leafy hiking trails. It shows the Swedish archipelago at its best. Out there, it feels as if time has stood still. Enjoy sun-warmed rocks, steep slopes interspersed with beech forest, meadows and pastures. The entire island is a nature reserve with abundant plant and bird life. The island offers many barbecue areas, nice viewpoints and hiking trails.

Stay the night at Tjärö in quaint buildings from the 1800's century. Book a room in the youth hostel, at one of the islands hotel rooms or in a cozy cottage with magnificent view overlooking the sea.
The service building is in the center of the island and has a kitchen, showers, toilets and sauna. The restaurant and cafe is situated next to the sea and guest harbor and offers a stunning view. Whether you choose breakfast, lunch or a three course dinner with extra everything, you will get a gastronomic experience to remember.

You can go by boat to Tjärö from the center of Karlshamn, Matvik or Järnavik. For traffic services, information about other islands in Karlshamn's archipelago etc, see external link.

At Tjärö's own website you will find information about prices, menus and much more, see website link. Tjärö is open for visitors between April and September.
