Theatre for the whole family at the fortress island Kastellet.
Experience entertaining summer theater on the fortress island Kastellet this summer. A tradition in Karlshamn for over 30 years. Kastellet is a fantastic island located in the middle of Karlshamn's harbor inlet just five minutes by boat from the center.
The plot:
Odysseus is on his way home. It has been twenty years since he was last home. Twenty years before our story begins, he left his home on Ithaca, leaving his wife Penelope and their newborn son, Telemachus, to go to war against his will. The Trojan War, as it came to be known, lasted ten years. As soon as the war ended, Odysseus began his journey back to his home and family. Along the way, he encountered dangers, obstacles, problems and challenges. When the plot begins, he has been at war for ten years and has been travelling for ten years.
