Queen of the world

Do Events Theatre & Entertainment

A theatre production at Lokstallarna. A dazzling tribute to the show, sisterhood and Sweden’s most forgotten global superstar – John Lind.

Description

Queen of the World is a theatrical dream play in which the past and the present converge in a glittering, vulnerable and utterly vibrant now. Two Swedish drag queens from completely different eras appear right before the audience’s eyes. Robert Fux meets John Lind – the Swedish female impersonator who once conquered the world’s greatest stages.

Worlds unite and collide, but who writes the story? And what is the cost of sacrificing everything for the one or the thing you love most? Through humour and darkness, a forgotten global superstar is brought back to life in a story of show business, sisterhood and the longing to be seen. Queen of the World is a playful and poignant tribute to the performing arts, identity and the courage to live life to the full.

After the performance, the director will join the audience for a discussion and display artefacts from the lives of John Lind and other drag legends, both famous and unknown.
You can now book your place for the very first performances of Queen of the World. Further dates will be announced later.

A ticket is required. The performance lasts 2 hours. The performance is in Swedish.
