Östersjöfestivalen - Anniversary Concert Highlighting Local Culture

Welcome to a grand anniversary concert during the 60th anniversary of Östersjöfestivalen, where community, beautiful singing and great musical moments are the focus!

Together with the 150th anniversary Karlshamns Musiksällskap, the audience is invited to a grand concert under the direction of Alexandra Brorsson and Staffan Franzén. On stage are local star artists Elin Malmgren, Victor Berg, Linnea Glans and Erik Vestermark. The evening's theme is musical, with favorites from, among others, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Kristina från Duvemåla, Annie and Mamma Mia.

Karlshamns Musiksällskap
The 150th anniversary Karlshamns Musiksällskap is one of Sweden's oldest amateur symphony orchestras and has been part of Karlshamn's cultural life since 1876. The association brings together musicians of different ages and plays everything from classical music to musicals, film and popular music. The music society is also an important breeding ground for both young and experienced musicians who want to develop and play together.

The anniversary orchestra under the direction of Staffan Franzén
On the square stage, Karlshamn's tightest house band is once again ready to lift the anniversary concert's local artists. Bandmaster Staffan Franzén leads the band with a sure hand from the bass. Oskar Ottosson sits at the keyboard, Joakim Svensson on guitar, and Lucas Jedahlius is behind the drums.

Victor Berg
Victor Berg has studied at Kapellsberg in Härnösand and has been involved in running Verateatern in Karlshamn since 2010. He was also employed as an artist at Musik in Blekinge between 2016-2022. He has also been involved in the Arlövsrevyn in Skåne since 2022 and will be doing his fifth year in the revue in 2027. In addition to these musical and theatrical extravaganzas, he is also a keyboardist and songwriter in the band Care of Night, which has played at Lion Rock Fest in Spain and at the Sweden Rock Festival. In 2024, he broke a record for stage contrasts when he played both Arlövsrevyn and the Sweden Rock Festival within a six-week period.

Elin Malmgren
Elin Malmgren has been very busy as an artist over the years, having participated in successful shows at Wallmans Oslo and Wallmans Copenhagen. A year ago, Elin stepped out of the Wallmans group and since then she has worked as a freelance solo artist with many assignments, most recently in the musical Rocky Horror Show at Nöjesteatern. Elin is a thoroughbred professional with both a great voice and total stage presence.

Erik Vestermark
Erik Westermark is a 22-year-old musician and sound and lighting technician from Karlshamn. He has experience from several actors in the culture and entertainment industry in Karlshamn, including Nöjeskompaniet, Verateatern and Sandelius Kultur & Nöje. Erik is currently active as a guitarist in the rock band Red Heart and bassist in the country band Peter Autio Trio. In addition to this, he also works as a technician and musician in Sandelius Kultur & Nöje's summer theater productions.

Linnea Glans
Linnea Glans, 22 years old, is a promising musical artist from Mörrum with an extraordinary stage power. With a voice that captivates and a presence that captivates the audience, Linnea has taken great strides in her artistic development. In 2025, Linnea was accepted to the prestigious Artisten program, Sweden's only musical education at university level, which only accepts nine students every two years after a tough selection process. This summer, Elin will take another step in her career in the lead role of Pippi Longstocking in Sandelius Kultur & Nöje's family musical, which is played in Bellevueparken.

Linnea Glans is an artist to watch. With her balance of technical skill, expressiveness and audience love, she is putting both herself and her hometown of Karlshamn on the Swedish musical map.
