Natural and cultural experiences in Käringahejan nature reserve

A guided hike on the Laxaleden and Sydostleden. Mörrums Kronolaxfiske welcomes you to come along on foot through a piece of Blekinge's fantastic nature and history!

The tour goes along the famous Mörrumsån on Laxaleden and north, from Angölsmåla benstamp, through the wilderness of the reserve to Ebbemåla village. The hike then continues along the east side of the Mörrumsån and back on the Sydostleden via Hovmansbygd and Härnäs.

On the way, you pass old mill foundations and other ruins of an era's grandiose plans and activities. The walk continues along the river on the partly boulder-strewn slopes of the ancient rift valley through mostly untouched forests - places with old trees, unusual mushrooms, spawning salmon, sneaking lynx and grunting wild boar.

Guide on the tour is Mattias Holmquist, site manager at Mörrum's Kronolaxfiske, who tells about, among other things, Angösmåla benstamp, Corlin's sawmill, the robbery on the bridge in Hovmansbygd and the salmon's fascinating life cycle and its challenges.

Distance: approx. 8 km

Difficulty: The first half of the path is quite uneven. The second half is easy hiking on the old embankment. You should be able to walk at a normal pace without difficulty.

Number of participants: 6-12 people.

Included in the hike: Guide and lunch. If you come to Mörrum by public transport, we can arrange a shuttle to and from Angölsmåla, where the hike starts and ends.

Price/person: SEK 600

Supplement: If accommodation is desired the day before and/or after the hike, Mörrums Kronolaxfiske can offer it from SEK 300 per person per night.

Reservation and cancellation: Mörrums Kronolaxfiske reserves the right to cancel the trip in the event of persistent rain, illness or other unforeseen event. In case of cancellation, the entire participation fee (SEK 600 per person) is refunded.
