National Day celebrations
Traditional National Day celebrations in Karlshamn.
Welcome to the National Day celebrations for the whole family on June 6. The celebrations begin at the square and then continues in Rosengården. The day concludes with a concert in Asarum's Church.
At the square (approximate times):
10:00-11:00 Blekinge Classic Car Club display their vehicles
12:00 Blekinge Motorcyclists display their vehicles and sing the national anthem
13:30 Karlshamn Music Corps assembles and the flag procession marches along Drottninggatan towards the junction with Rådhusgatan
13:40 Karlshamn Music Corps marches towards Rosengården via the streets of Drottninggatan, Ronnebygatan, Regeringsgatan and Hamngatan
Shops in the town centre are open between 10:00 and 13:00

- Karlshamn Music Corps performs
- National Day speech by Anki Hansson
- Naturalisation ceremony for new Swedish citizens
- Speech by Mayor Björn Nurhadi
- National anthem
- Ensembles from Karlshamn Music School
- Singing by Anna Deutgen
- The library’s ‘Book Bike’ will be on site with book recommendations, crafts and a fishing pond
- Refreshments served by Mörrum Scout Group
- The programme will be hosted by Thomas Deutgen
Asarum Church:
18;00 National Day concert with Karlshamn Chamber Choir at Asarum Church. Free admission. The choir is conducted by Karin Sax Granlöf.
