Molar

The performance Molar is part of the Brådjupa Dance Festival.

As an initial impulse and starting point for our creative concept, the word ‘happiness’ emerges, we view happiness as something performative and as a state governed by established rules of behaviour. The main idea behind this proposal has been to work with images associated with states of happiness (the Coca-Cola advert, the euphoria of achieving a goal, the excitement of a highly motivated person, …) and to develop a device that (re)produces a series of images that appear and disappear, and which can be linked to happiness, to feeling special, to being cool. Such an archive of images and references enables us to highlight the representational aspect of emotions in our current Western society.
A ticket is required. The performance lasts 50 minutes.
