A warm welcome to an evening filled with jazz as Solea takes to the stage at Kontra.
Solea is a quartet that moves between traditional jazz, fusion and blues, drawing inspiration from artists such as Weather Report and Mike Stern. With a focus on improvisation, they offer a lively and dynamic concert experience.
Over the past year, the band has been working on a tribute concert to Miles Davis, to mark what would have been the jazz icon’s 100th birthday. The concert pays tribute to both Miles Davis and the history of jazz, whilst Solea puts its own stamp on the music.
