Martinssonska gården opens for the season
The Art museum opens its door for the summer season.
The art museum "Martinssonska Gården" is open during the summer season and it is located on the street Lotsgatan in Karlshamn in charming neighborhoods with old wooden houses.
The house, where the late artist Johnny Martinsson lived, has also been home to three of his artist friends, namely Oskar Wickström, Thure Wahlström and Per Serre. The four artists' works are now gathered under the same roof. In total there are eleven rooms to explore. There is also an outdoor courtyard where the larger sculptures are displayed.
The house, which dates from the early 1800s, has been carefully restored and also includes a farmhouse from the 1700s. There is also a cobbled courtyard and a lush garden. Here the visitor encounters modern art framed in lush greenery, a piece of culturally valuable building history together with an enriching art experience.
Open to visitors during the summer with free admission. Between 4 May and 14 June, you can book guided tours outside of the summer opening hours.
Opening hours 2026:
27 June – 28 August Thursday–Sunday 13:00-16:00
