Marilyn – a musical about Marilyn Monroe

She was born Norma Jeane and died as Marilyn Monroe. Her greatest dream was to become a recognised actress, but in a male-dominated world she was instead transformed into a sex symbol. Marilyn Monroe was celebrated, admired and loved all over the world, but behind the glittering façade lay a lonely and unloved Norma.

Singer and actress Karin Grönberg, who has previously portrayed icons such as Edith Piaf and Judy Garland, now takes on the legendary Marilyn Monroe.

In 2026, Marilyn would have turned 100, and to mark the anniversary, we invite you to the musical performance Marilyn. Joining Karin on stage are some of Skåne’s leading jazz musicians, led by jazz trumpeter, bandleader and arranger Mårten Lundgren.
