Lone Warriors

Do Events Theatre & Entertainment

A moving story about children struggling in an adult world that lets them down.

Description

Two boys are in the same class. Johan fantasizes about adventures on the great plains, and Peter’s dream is to go deep-sea diving among the sharks. But there’s a reality beyond their dreams.

Johan hides in the school bathroom to escape Peter’s bullying, and at home, his dad drinks schnapps until he gets loud. Peter’s father has moved out, but when his mother works late and Peter is home alone, his father still drops by with a bottle of liquor. Both Johan and Peter are struggling to cope with their lives, and soon the boys will be drawn into a final battle that will change everything.

Lonely Warriors is a powerful and heartfelt story about two intertwined destinies. It’s about vulnerability, loneliness, and an adult world that lets them down. But it’s also about the power of imagination and finding what makes you happy. The play is based on Eva Wikander’s books *Lone Warrior* and *Alone with Sharks* and was adapted for the stage by Marie Persson Hedenius and Dag Norgård.

The perfomance is in Swedish
