Another co-organization with Basement Event with a piano theme.
Lars Jansson and Unit have collaborated on and off for almost 20 years. With Lars' beautiful compositions at the center, they offer together a lyrical and playfully swinging chamber jazz.
Lars Jansson is one of the most renowned and appreciated pianists and composers in the Nordic region.
He has numerous recordings under his own name and regularly tours the world. Lars has also been a professor for five years in Denmark at the music conservatories in Aarhus and Esbjerg, and in 2022 he received the Royal Danish Academy of Music's Jazz Prize with the motivation:
“For an artistry of great importance for Swedish jazz”.
Unit is a well-established ensemble from Musik i Blekinge. For over 25 years, they have worked in countless constellations and performed nearly 4000 concerts with most of the Swedish jazz elite and a long list of foreign guests.
