Two pianists, two grand pianos, facing each other. Jan Lundgren meets Lars Jansson at Basement's premises on Tryckerigatan 1 in Karlshamn. It will be a real duel with black and white keys as weapons.
Jan Lundgren is one of our foremost musicians, having visited Karlshamn countless times, and probably needs no special introduction. But with around 50 albums and countless projects and collaborations, he has demonstrated his ability to embrace tradition while constantly reinventing himself.
Lars has also visited us a number of times and, like Jan Lundgren himself, is one of Sweden's great jazz pianists and composers. Stylistically, they move in similar jazz landscapes and both are exquisite melody composers.
