Fossil hunting in Kreapark

Become a real palaeontologist this summer! Would you like to go fossil hunting like a real palaeontologist in the lush Kreaparken at Kreativum? On four unique occasions, you’ll have the chance to unearth real fossils that are millions of years old, together with fossil-hunting expert Filip Lindgren.

These sessions last two hours and Filip will be on hand throughout. The summer holiday programme also offers taster fossil hunting sessions every day, but these last around 20 minutes and do not include Filip.

Everyone who digs is guaranteed to find fossils, and all finds can be taken home in your own box.

The fossil-rich sand is wet-sieved at the workbenches. Common finds include squid remains, oysters, shark teeth and fish vertebrae. There are also finds from plesiosaurs, mosasaurs and sea turtles – and there’s even a chance of finding teeth from land-dwelling dinosaurs. What finds will you discover?

Ages 4 and up. Maximum 20 participants per session.
