Folk music gathering at Villa Utsikten
The folk music festival at Villa Utsikten features group sessions, stage performances, an open stage and impromptu performances in a cosy setting.
On Saturday 2 August at 14:00, a folk music gathering will be held at Villa Utsikten. Visitors can look forward to an afternoon filled with music, camaraderie and everything that goes with a traditional folk music gathering.
The programme begins at 2.00 pm with a jam session, in which anyone who wishes to take part is welcome. Sheet music is available on the Blekinge Spelmansförbund website, www.blekingespelman.se, under the ‘Noter’ menu.
Performing on stage will be the Kräm-Olans Orchestra, comprising several well-known musicians from Skåne and Blekinge.
Throughout the day, there will also be an open stage, where anyone who wishes to can sign up to the playlist and play a couple of tunes in front of an audience – whether it’s their first performance or they’re a seasoned performer.
For those who would rather play together with others in a more informal setting, there are plenty of opportunities for impromptu jam sessions in the area around Villa Utsikten.
Refreshments are available to buy at Villa Utsikten.
The event is free, but voluntary donations are gratefully accepted.
