Exhibition - Anna Jarnestad

Anna Jarnestad, artist born 1966 in Karlskrona. Works with sculpture and images in most materials, but mainly with stoneware clay.

“Do you want to work with clay?” my father Alf, who was an artist, would ask when I was little and sat in his studio. It wasn't “playing” with clay, it was “working” with clay. That's how it was, although no one knew it then. The clay was the first thing and still is, but then came the image and the text. It feels fun and important for me to explore new materials to see if my expression is clear. Very rarely do I work from a sketch but from an inner image, then hands and clay control what and how. Inspiration and ideas can come at any time, on a dog walk or in the wolf hour between dreams and thoughts.”

Exhibition: 16 July - 10 August
Opening on Saturday16 July. Vernissage at 13:00.
Then open Thursdays at 16:00-18:00 and Saturday-Sundays at 11:00-17:00.
