The group consists of Emmalisa Hallander on vocals, Leo Lindberg on organ, Eskil Larsson on saxophone and Jojo Djeridi on drums. They play swinging jazz rooted in the 50s and 60s with some elements of Swedish lyrics.
Emmalisa Hallander is a prominent Swedish jazz singer, composer and lyricist who has quickly established herself as one of the most promising voices in Swedish vocal jazz.
Emmalisa has received several prestigious scholarships, including the Monica Zetterlund Scholarship 2024, where she was described as a “scat-singing singer-songwriter with the utmost sharpness and finesse”.
Leo Lindberg, who has visited Karlshamn several times, is a prominent Swedish jazz musician, known for his swinging piano playing and his skillful playing on the Hammond organ. He belongs to the new generation of jazz musicians but has a strong foothold in the classic jazz tradition.
Jojo Djeridi is a professional jazz drummer active since 1985, known for his powerful swing, poly-rhythmic antics and wide dynamic range - he can make the drums both whisper and scream.
Eskil Larsson is a promising Swedish jazz musician, active as a tenor saxophonist and educated at Kungl. Academy of Music (KMH) in Stockholm. He has also studied at Skurups Folk High School and previously attended Södra Latin.
