Description
Indie/folk artist debuted in November 2023 with the single “Sleep with me on my birthday”, a song where fine-tuned minimalism meets de clair's astonishing vocals. She has since played as support for both Waterbaby and Augustine, placed in the majority of global playlists on Spotify and Apple Music, and is highlighted internationally in, among others, Clash Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, COLORS*STUDIOS and Lablogotheque.
The debut EP "Hiding mountains in the palm of my hand", released on March 15, was written and produced by Clara herself together with Grammy nominee Jens Resch and world phenomenon Jonny Coffer (Lykke Li, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar) in London.
Behind de clair we find Clara Rudelius, born and raised in Karlshamn. At the age of ten, she picked up the guitar for the first time and slowly transitioned to the black, off-pitch grand piano that stood in the living room. She discovered catalogs of Nico, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Björk who later became her main inspiration when she started writing and producing her own music. Music that is as subtle as it is empowering. A kind of minimalist approach to indie/alternative and folk, with transparent and at the same time provocative lyrics about the world's injustices, friendship, memories and love stories.
