The Baltic Festival 2026
The Baltic Festival - always Wednesday-Saturday week 29 - is one of the largest city festivals in south of Sweden and it is a big annual event in Karlshamn.
The Baltic Festival (Östersjöfestivalen) is one of the largest and oldest city festivals in southern Sweden – and has been organized in Karlshamn for almost 60 years.
Four fantastic days with music, entertainment, cultural events, funfair, vintage car exhibition, and food from all over the world. Thousands of visitors enjoy the festival, the music, the food, the trade, the atmosphere and the particularly rich cultural life and every year, some of Sweden's biggest artists perform at the festival.
The horse racing in Asarum "Karlshamnstravet", for example, kicks off the festival on Wednesday and Thursday, and the sailing race "Ärtsoppeseglingen" in Näsviken is another annual tradition that adds a maritime flavour to the festival. The food festival "Smakfesten" in Näsviken is another popular feature during the festival days. The Cultural District is a calm oasis during the festival. Here, visitors can enjoy peaceful relaxation in the midst of the festival hustle and bustle. On a stroll through the alleys and passageways, you can enjoy old objects, contemporary art and genuine handicrafts. The festival parade is a popular annual event that winds its way through the city on Thursday evening.
