Balla Blekinge Launch Party
Come and celebrate the launch of the coolest book about our favourite region. There’ll be a reading, live music and drinks to suit every taste. Laughter, cheek kisses and pats on the back aren’t compulsory, but they’re welcome. Everyone’s invited, so grab a friend by the arm and let’s get a move on.
The ‘100 Cool Places’ concept began in 2012 with a book about Skåne. The author, comedian and jack-of-all-trades Valle Westesson wrote a personal guide to a hundred places in Skåne that he considered special and worth a detour.
Since then, there have been 13 more books on Skåne, two on Stockholm and two on Copenhagen. A few years ago, a couple of his mates joined in and spread the word to Småland, Halland and Öland. This year, the idea has reached as far as Dalarna and London, and the ‘cool’ family now includes Adam Bergman, Louise Åhslund and Therese Nylén. But above all, Valle has now travelled around and collected places in the region where he has also put down roots – Blekinge.
