Autumn holiday at Karlshamns Museum

Karlshamn Museum is situated in the Kulturkvarteret district, which is also home to J N von Bergen’s punch factory, Skottsbergska gården (one of the country’s best-preserved 18th-century merchant’s estates), the tobacco barn and the art gallery.

Karlshamn Museum is housed in several of the older buildings in the Kulturkvarteret. The Smith House tells the story of the town’s history and economy through exhibitions featuring, amongst other things, model boats, fishing gear and ship paintings. It also features beautiful ceiling paintings from the town’s early bourgeois era and a special memorial room dedicated to the famous songwriter Alice Tegnér, who was born in Karlshamn.

The museum is open during autumn holiday:
Monday 26 October and Friday 30 October at 13:00-16:00

Please note! On 28 and 29 October (Wednesday and Thursday), there will be a ghost hunt at the Museum and the rest of the museum will be closed on those days. Find out more about the ghost hunt via the link.
