Autumn holiday at Karlshamns Museum

Karlshamn Museum is located in the Cultural District, which also houses J N von Bergen's punch factory, Skottsbergska gården (one of the country's best-preserved merchant's houses from the 18th century), the tobacco barn, the art gallery and Alice Tegnér's room.

Karlshamn Museum has its collections in several of the old houses in the Cultural Quarter. In the Smith House, named after Otto, son of the spirits magnate L O Smith, there are exhibitions reflecting the town's history and industries. Model boats, fishing gear and ship paintings show the strong connection to the sea. Beautiful ceiling paintings bear witness to the prosperity of the early burghers. Alice Tegnér, who was born in Karlshamn, is honoured with a special memorial room.

Open during the Autumn holiday: Monday, Tuesday and Friday 13:00-16:00.
