Description
Salmon fishing in Mörrum is very old and has belonged to the Crown since ancient times. It was first described in 1231 in Valdemar II's land register. The current type of sport fishing started in 1941.
Every year, 10,000 or so anglers from different countries try to catch Mörrumsån's salmon and sea trout. In addition to fish and other wildlife, the exhibition presents the history of sport fishing. It is also possible to see live salmon and sea trout in the 13 metre long aquarium. You can see models of the life of salmon and sea trout from fry to adult fish in the sea and lifelike casts of the river's record fish.
The exhibition is open Monday-Friday between 09:00-16:00 and admission is free for anyone under 18 years. For adults it costs 50 SEK.
