Description
Stina Helmersson, journalist, author, and storyteller, will be leading guided tours and lectures during the summer of 2025.
Tuesday, July 8:
Pukavik – Djävulens vik
An ancient center for trade, celebrations, and wild times. People have lived here in the inner part of Pukavik Bay since the Stone Age. The burial grounds of the Magleholm people and the spirits that guard them. The harbor, the shipyard, the pilots, and the schooners of Björkenäs. The rowdy life in the taverns, Bronze Age finds at Galgabacken, and the gruesome events surrounding the last dramatic execution in 1853. The goddess cult on Alholmen. Folklore, legends, and tall tales from the 20th century—not to mention the dance evenings and celebrities of the 1950s–70s!
Time: 18-21
Fee: 250 SEK including drinks and fruit
Tuesday, July 22:
Valans berg, Pukes grotta and Offerlunden i Halahult.
Valberget rises in a region rich in ancient monuments between Asarum and Hällaryd. Here, massive boulders stand tall, and the red cave opens like a portal. From the summit, we gaze out over meadows and wetlands where the vanished Lake Valsjön once shimmered. The journey continues north to Halahult, where a mysterious, sacred atmosphere welcomes us as we walk into the enchanted grove—with its ancient spring and carved figures in the stones along the slope.
Time: approx. 18-21
Fee: 250 SEK including drinks and fruit
Booking is done via the organizer’s phone number. For more information, see the website.
