Karl Olandersson Kvartett has been around since 2017 and is considered by many to be one of the top Swedish jazz acts. Last autumn, the band's fourth album ‘Hurry Up And Wait’ was released. The band consists of jazz nobility and together the musicians put their unique stamp on Olandersson's music, which is rooted in the jazz tradition but with a clear twist that breathes modern freshness. The result is a broad palette that expresses itself in irresistible swing, cheeky spontaneity, harmonic and melodic finesse, a breathtaking range of dynamics and registers, and a close-knit and responsive interplay of the highest order.
Karl Olandersson is one of the country's foremost and most appreciated jazz trumpeters and is active in many constellations. In addition to his own quartet and various assignments as a guest soloist, he has played with Stockholm Swing All Stars, Klas Lindquist Nonet, Stockholm Jazz Orchestra, Nine Sparks Riots, Trinity, etc. Alongside jazz, Karl can often be heard in commercial contexts with major pop acts and TV productions such as Vilket Liv, Idrottsgalan, Let's Dance and Allsång på Skansen.’
