Linda Carleke - "Terräng"

"I had an idea to paint pictures of being in or going through different landscapes that reflect emotional states. Different environments, more or less abstract. I collect impressions from branches in the forest and random combinations of color spots. Also the seasons strongly influences me. The impressions become environments in my painting. When hung, the paintings together form stories."

Part of the exhibition is a previous separate exhibition called Bathers. The water that carries or drowns, life and death. The water is included in the church's holy sacrament of baptism. You are lowered down, and then come up and take your first breath as a Christian. A new birth. But Carleke thinks "Learn to swim, stay afloat!" It is a constant work to live. She bathes and bathes. She believes that it works as a reboot. Reset.
